Mark and Martine Teuton
My family and I have just returned from South Africa where we stayed the majority of our time at The Lodge. I’m not sure a 5-Star review does the staff and accommodation justice but here goes
Firstly, Chantal, the manageress is fantastically enthusiastic and accommodating – she and her staff went the ‘extra mile’ in every department with ourselves and of course our three kids who haven’t stopped raving about the place since we landed back in rain-drenched Northern Ireland.
Our room was very spacious and modern and the large ensuite with chacuzzi bath impressed our kids no end! The continental breakfast was great and we all looked forward to each morning’s ‘craic’ and occasional (but naughty) feeding of 2 resident mongooses. Although we didn’t play any Golf, the Course together with the views of Table Mountain are ‘stunning’ to say the least.
We made daily use of a well equipped/managed leisure centre with large heated pool (where our 8 & 4 year olds memorably learnt to swim). Each day brought something new and exciting and this was before we even left the Estate to explore the numerous attractions nearby. I’ll not waste time on ‘security’ as it was first -rate. The area itself is a ‘mecca’ for kite-surfers and the bars/restaurants are great particularly in a spot called ‘Eden on the Bay’. I really can’t express how much we all enjoyed ourselves and we’re already planning our return to this stunning Country and of course The Lodge at Atlantic Beach
